I have been asked from time to time what exactly
a "Chew Tamer" is and I have pondered that
question. I realize a Chew Tamer is a person who is
concerned with much more than weight. A Chew
Tamer is one who wishes to live his or her life as
joyfully and fully as possible.
Being concerned about your health and well-being
and being the best you can be requires maintaining a
positive attitude as much as possible. We attract
positive to us when we think positive thoughts and feel
positive feelings. Of course we cannot feel and be
that way every single minute but we can strive to feel
as well as possible as often as possible. But we
can not do it perfectly every time.
I will address some causes and effects of
perfectionistic self-expectations in a minute but first I
want to alert you to three new features that are proving
helpful to Chew Tamers.
The first is a brand new Bach Flower Essences kit
known as The Emotional Eating Kit.
Recently Bach
introduced an Emotional Eating Support Kit to help
manage emotions and stop mindless eating. The kit
contains three remedies that address emotional
eating, is convenient to carry anywhere.
These remedies will help you stop emotional eating:
Cherry Plum allows you to stay in
calm control, even when you feel like grabbing extra
cookies.
Crab Apple, the cleansing remedy,
helps you feel better about yourself and your body,
especially when you feel embarrassed by tight clothes
or disgusted over how you've been eating.
Chestnut Bud helps you
change negative behaviors, making you more self -
observant so you notice changes to make to break the
cycle of overeating.
The remedies are simple to take, just 2 drops of each
remedy straight from the bottle or into any beverage 4
times per day.
Once you begin using these amazing essences to
avoid anesthetizing yourself with your customary food
fix, you will be able to attend to your internal guidance
system - your feelings. As you heed the messages
your emotions are communicating, you will become
better at meeting your true needs and choosing what
you really want. This will help you manifest perfect
health, achieve ideal weight and bypass those extra
snacks.
Next I have just received the 2 CD set we have all
been waiting for entitled Hidden Weight Gain Factors.
These CDs are loaded with practical information
about factors that can cause weight gain, even if you're
doing everything right! Hormones, including excess
insulin, liver toxicity, food sensitivities and stress are
some of the culprits. Dr. Denise and Dr. Ann Louise
Gittleman, both renowned experts in the field, join
forces to give you great tips for balanced, successful,
permanent weight loss.
Finally, I want to encourage each of you to join me on
my brand new blog,
www.ChewTamers.blogspot.com
. I will be posting to
this blog every Tuesday morning with exciting new
content and you will be able to comment and respond
to me. I am really excited about this new interactive
aspect of the internet and am eager to hear from all of
you. Please do join me there!
Now. let's get back to the issue of expecting yourself to
be perfect.
One reason we may battle difficult feelings is because
many of us imagine that we need to be perfect. We
may think that being perfect is achievable and that only
when we reach this state of perfection will we find
happiness. Well, being perfect is definitely not
possible for any of us so you might as well give up
that idea!
Many of us live in a near constant state of
disappointment. Life hasn't dealt us the hand we
wanted. We didn't attract and marry the perfect prince
(or princess) charming. We don't have perfect
children or jobs or homes. We didn't have the perfect
parents or attend the perfect schools. Many of us
haven't figured out how to arrive at, or remain, at our
ideal weight. Perhaps our teeth are crooked or we
have a pimple on our face.
What you see is what you get. There it is. You have a
life. It is yours. You have a body to use while you are
living this lifetime. It is yours and it is up to you, in the
here and now, to do with it as you wish. Life was and
is perfect as it is. You have perhaps been dealt what
you perceive as a "bad" hand. Each painful or difficult
experience, however, holds its own teachings. You
could not/would not be the wise, wonderful person you
are without every bit of your life experience.
Now it is time for you. Sit quietly every day and think
about what you want. That's all there is to it. Be still,
go inside and dream of what you desire. That's how
you can move away from the heaviness of the past
into the lightheartedness of the present. These
dreams will help you feel happy and joyful. These
positive feelings will attract more positive thoughts
and feelings. Then watch as the future unfolds
brilliantly before your very eyes!
I'll be back in July - Meanwhile, please join me at

Emotional Eating Kit.
Many Blessings,
Dr. Denise
